Markus Scholz, Frankfurt
Associate, Project Management
My previous professional experience as an architect, combined with further experience gained in project management, formed the basis of my successfully taking on the very demanding interdisciplinary role of Project Manager within a property services company working for national and international customers. In my opinion, C&W offers an extraordinary platform for successful Project Management due to its special culture and professionalism.
Especially in projects in cooperation with my international colleagues I can feel the special "spirit". There is no "no", and each region is willing to talk at any time to obtain feedback and clarification in the best interests of the client and the project. During my seven years at C&W so far, I have managed projects involving: project development, revitalization, project management, project control, evaluation of new building and existing building risk , tenants’ project management, workplace strategies and optimization; in Germany and other European countries, for German and international investors, banks and tenants.

Consultant, Business Space
I’m on hand with help and advice for customers searching for office space or when it comes to contract negotiations as well. My intention to work in the commercial real estate market is based on its variety. You meet different people, build up a network and improve your communication skills. There’s a widely spread working area: developing marketing strategies, real estate law and technical aspects as well, for example construction and architecture of buildings. Not having to be in the office all day long is an additional advantage, as you follow current activities on the real estate market by inspecting properties or by keeping appointments with customers, landlords and investors.

I first became aware of Cushman & Wakefield from a very interesting presentation given by a C&W employee during my studies. Due to my keen interest in keeping up to date with market activity, my interest in the real estate valuation realm has continued to develop during my study looking for a demanding working sphere, the Valuation department of Cushman & Wakefield was my first port of call. Additionally, the global presence of Cushman & Wakefield also attracted me.
I initially got to know the company during two intern periods, one in Frankfurt and one in Berlin. Within real estate valuation I especially enjoy the analytic approach, the variety of the different valuation mandates, such as assessments of retail, office or other properties. I have been working as an Analyst within the Valuation & Advisory department of Cushman & Wakefield since January 2012.
