From 1 April 2013 Tajo Friedemann, as an associate, will boost Cushman & Wakefield’s (C&W) sustainability team. His tasks will focus on continuing to drive forward the development of property-related consultancy services in the area of commercial sustainability strategies, CSR reporting, Green Project Management, Green Leases and certification. The DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) consultant and LEED AP joins from Jones Lang LaSalle, and will operate from Frankfurt.

Jens Böhnlein, partner and head of the Project Management department, says: “Tajo Friedemann is an experienced consultant and market expert and therefore brings with him the best qualifications to develop our inter-disciplinary range of services, which offers target-oriented and cross-sector solutions to investors and portfolio holders - both at national level and also as part of the international full-service consultancy services.”

Cushman & Wakefield is a member of the USGBC (United States Green Building Council), GRSBE (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) and the BREEAM DE advisory council and, with advisers throughout Europe, in addition to providing services relating to BREEAM, LEED and DGNB certification, is already carrying out CSR reporting and portfolio analyses.

C&W recently oversaw the certification of “Romeo & Julia” complex, which was awarded five stars (signifying “excellent” according to BREEAM DE’s rating categories) as part of the BREEAM DE Bestand [German version of BREEAM In-use certification scheme] pilot phase.
