Following a competitive tender, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has commissioned Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) with the property management of the new World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan: C&W will be responsible for the management and operation of all public spaces, including the public squares, as well as for numerous operational plants such as the River Water Pump House, which collects the service water for the World Trade Center from the Hudson River, and the HVAC facilities for the individual retail spaces and train stations.
"A crucial factor in our success was the experience and expertise of our Property Management Team“, commented John Santora, President & CEO of the Corporate Occupier & Investor Services at C&W. "This team carries out its work from a global and established management platform using cutting-edge technology. The Port Authority considers this to be the best foundation for implementing its strategic goals.“
