Olsen leases 2,200 sqm in Hamburg's Marzipanfabrik quarter

Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) advised Olsen Germany GmbH in leasing around 2,200 m² in the Marzipanfabrik ("marzipan factory") quarter at Friesenweg 4/Griegstrasse 75, Haus 20/21, in 22763 Hamburg-Altona. The manufacturer of stylish women's clothing is relocating its German head office to the new premises within Hamburg, which it will move into in October.

Olsen was acquired by the Veldhoven Group at the end of 2013. The company has a global workforce of around 600 employees, of which 150 are employed in Germany.

The lessor is HPV Marzipanfabrik GbR. The family company Hollmann & Partner Vermögensverwaltung (HPV) from Hamburg acquired the former marzipan factory in Altona and the approx. 40,000 m² compound in 2012. Since then, it has gradually redeveloped the existing property and two new buildings of 4,500 and 1,500 m² have already been built.

HPV has already completed a number of similar projects in Hamburg, including the “Otto von Bahren Park” in Bahrenfeld and the “Schokoladenfabrik” in Hammerbrook.
