Cushman & Wakefield’s Property & Asset Management Team, together with the working party Sustainable Building Management (Members: Cushman & Wakefield, DIFNI, DLA Piper, WISAG), have won the ImmobilienManager Award 2015 in the category of sustainability for their proposed regulations for sustainable building management.
The renowned prize was presented at the awards ceremony on 26th February 2015 in Cologne.
The interdisciplinary working party have been engaged in the formulation of regulatory and action recommendations for sustainability-oriented building management since 2013. They initially developed the standards for green Property Management, led by Nina Jansen, Co-Head of Property & Asset Management in Germany. In 2014 a corresponding concept for Facility Management was added, adding a Green Facility Management specimen contract to that already established for Green Property Management and for which real estate service provider WISAG, developed an ecological performance specification for building operation. The recommendations are primarily addressed at all those who contract out property management and facility management services, and encompass the components of law, methods and content.
The instruments have received the “Badge of Recognition” of DIFNI, meaning they fulfil the demanding requirements for comparability, transparency and quality of the BREEAM system. In addition they augment the existing regulatory recommendations such as GEFMA guideline 160. The entire concept is deliberately designed to be open, so that can be used in combination with other certification systems or alone.
The brochures “Green Property Management Agreements” and “Greeen Facility Management Agreements” are available on our Website for download.
