Through the brokerage of Cushman & Wakefield (C&W), Fafnir GmbH has leased an area of 3,200 m² comprising office space (508 m²) and production, laboratory and hall space (2,720 m²) at Schnackenburgallee 149 in 22525 Hamburg, Germany. The development of the new company headquarters and the company relocation are being coordinated by the Project Management team at C&W.
Fafnir, a subsidiary of the Danaher Corporation, specialises in the development and production of sensors and systems for monitoring and measuring filling levels in the mineral oil, pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries.
The owner was represented by BEOS AG, which develops and manages mixed-use commercial properties for the office, production, service and logistics sectors.
With a take-up of around 259,000 m², the office space market in Hamburg has experienced a strong first half of 2015. From this figure, around 129,000 m² can be attributed to the second quarter. According to Cushman & Wakefield (C&W), this represents the best half-year results for the office lease market since 2008: compared to the previous year, the result increased by around +13 % (first half 2014: 230,000 m²). With a 27% share of take-up, the mid-size segment for spaces between 1,000 m² and 3,000 m² exhibited stronger demand than in 2014 (15%).
