The Berlin-based online company Käuferportal, Europe's largest intermediary for high quality products and services, is doubling its office space and moving premises in Berlin. The company has rented 8,551 m2 at 11 Potsdamer Platz and is planning to move in in the first quarter of 2017. When looking for suitable premises and sealing the deal, the rentals team of Cushman & Wakefield Berlin played a key role. The consultants from the Project Management & Consultancy department of Cushman & Wakefield also assisted Käuferportal in the layout planning and design of the new office space over seven floors, which will cater for 500 employees and bring the company's plans for expansion to fruition. The company's head office is currently located at 79 Friedrichstraße.
The move to the new offices will accommodate Käuferportal's strong growth. Founded in 2008, the young founders Robin Behlau and Mario Kohle quickly turned their startup into a market leader in Germany. Their online service helps consumers retrieve and compare offers from regional firms before making an expensive purchase like a kitchen or solar thermal system. In 2015, Käuferportal announced it would be gradually expanding to other countries in Europe. Today, the company and its partners make annual sales of products and services to the value of one billion euros, and it employs more than 300 staff at six locations around Europe. The supplier network comprises more than 10,000 companies throughout Europe. These also include major brands such as Höffner, Jungheinrich, Siemens, EON and Postbank.
