Cushman & Wakefield expands global growth further with cooperation ventures

Property consultancy Cushman & Wakefield is expanding its cooperation ventures with Veritas Brown in Kazakhstan and Georgia. The cooperation has existed since 2010; from January 2017, Veritas Brown will also operate under the name of the umbrella brand Cushman & Wakefield. Veritas Brown offers a comprehensive range of services for commercial properties, including the areas of valuation and consulting, research, investor servics and property management.

Cushman & Wakefield this week signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with SPG Intercity as its Swiss partner. The collaboration of the two companies has already been in place since 1993, meaning that it has now been confirmed at a formal level. Cushman & Wakefield initially cooperated with Societé Privée de Gérance (SPG) and Intercity Group and then with the joint venture emerging from it, SPG Intercity, from 2001.

With some 40 employees in Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Lausanne, SPG Intercity is the leading provider of commercial properties in Switzerland and the first company in German-speaking Switzerland to be RICS-accredited. The cooperation combines the global platform of Cushman & Wakefield and the in-depth expertise of SPG Intercity in the Swiss property market. The renowned SPG Intercity clients include SBB Immobilien, Mobimo Holding AG and Crcdit Suisse AG.

John Forrester, Chief Executive EMEA, Cushman & Wakefield, explains: “Our strong and long-standing relationships with our cooperation ventures in EMEA expand our business in markets in which Cushman & Wakefield currently does not have a 100% presence. Both local and global clients benefit from this, gaining access to our global network and the associated local expertise.”

Yvo Postleb, Germany Head of Cushman & Wakefield, said: “The global growth of Cushman & Wakefield offers many benefits for our clients who are active not only in the German property market, but also internationally.”
